EDI: All Saints Day

On Nov. 1, the Catholic Church (and some Protestant churches) commemorate every saint, known and unknown. In France and Germany, people have the work day off and businesses are closed. In the Philippines, Undas is a time for honoring and paying respects to departed loved ones, usually with prayers, flowers, and good offerings.
