Cancelled Event BHS - Barbershop Harmony Evergreen Divisions 1, 2, and International Prelims Contest and Sat. Show

100's of barbershoppers will attend the convention from March 18th -19th 2022 and compete for TOP marks in singing, performance, and musicality.  Begins Fri. night at 6pm with Quartet Performances and continues to Sat. at 10am with choruses. Sat. night from 7pm-9pm is the show of champions.  Open to the public. Event is ticketed.

Below is the general schedule for the weekend we are planning on

Friday March 18th

4pm - Topper Access to Preforming Arts Center, and 10-15 classrooms (additional space may be requested for registration / common areas).  We would like to have access to the green room(s), risers, and all A/V including Mics, Speakers, and Lighting.  Classrooms would be left in the same set up and cleanliness as when we found it.  

4pm - Access to the school and ability for quartets, and chorus members to enter and utilize the classrooms for rehearsal space.

5:30pm - Judges and VIPS arrive.  We would need a separate room for them that has limited access from common areas and is a place we can serve food.

6 - 10:00 pm -  Quartets and Judging take place

10:30pm  -  Everyone is out 

 

Saturday March 19th

8am - 4pm - Open all as above

10am Chorus contest begins and ends around 2pm

2pm-4pm areas are open for coaching.

4pm-5:30pm - Everyone will be out except any few people making arrangements for the evening festivities.

5:30pm- Open all as above for groups to use space for warming up/rehearsing.

7pm - 9pm  Sat night Show in Theater (less classrooms will be used during this time, but we will know later once we flesh out the show and the # of groups performing.

9pm - Classrooms are emptied, and desks are returned to normalcy

10pm - Everyone is out of the School. 

 As you can see above there are a number of nuances in our schedule for the weekend.  I hope that we can work through these details as I can't be more specific with time usages of the rooms on this form

We plan to incorporate at least 1 ensemble from your choral program into this event.  Including coaching from a international Champion quartet, and a performance slot in the Saturday night show.  All students and parents of Sehome will also have either discounted / free tickets depending on the costs of the event.  I will also include Sehome High School in all of our marketing efforts, and most importantly, Sehome High will be the the school that the Topper's will select for our donation and scholarship gifting in 2022. 

I also am aware that we are still battling COVID too and that there will be certain rules in place.  I also am aware  we need to have flexibility in the planning to accommodate change in mandatesas they may or may not come.
